Finishes, Patterns, and Shapes

Here at NSD, one of the more popular finishes in granite has become the textured stone such as leathered, brushed and antiqued. Traditionally the choice has been polished, however the trend is moving to more matte/honed and textured slabs. Pictured above is Astoria Leathered and below is Ice Brown Leathered, both in stock at the Nashville location of NSD!

Tiles Shapes and Sizes are trending to linear, rectangular selections. Pictured above is the popular 6x24 plank size in a durable porcelain material. Perfect for a bathroom floor. It's much more interesting that the standard 12x12 square. NSD has many selections in this size and shape.....12x24's too.

The Schuler's classic bath

After a visit to Europe, Mr. and Mrs. Schuler wanted a master bath remodel filled with Carrara marble. They came to NSD, and we were able to help them achieve their vision. We used both polished and honed versions of Cararra, paired with spiral mosaics and blk granite accents. Dreamy Kitchen

Just recently we assisted Mrs Perkinson in helping her create her dream kitchen.....and it turned out lovely. The countertops are a very light Kashmir granite with a custom designed glass backsplash by NSD.

An upclose shot of the glass tile splash. Over the range we selected a mini-brick mosaic from the sumi- e series. The field tile is a 2x4 frosted glass on mesh- transitioned with a frosted glass pencil rail.

Trends in Tile Flooring
